I started searching for a reliable resume service when I wanted to take my career to the next level. I wanted to apply for Corporate controller position and thus needed a quality, well-written resume. After a quick search via Bing, I found this writing company.

Unlike the other companies, it has a blog on the front page. It’s a resume website of a single writer who is a certified resume writer. I thought it was ok to entrust my resume to the hands of a certified writer, so I decided to get my resume written here.

Pricing

Resume services on this site are presented in packages, and the content and price of these packages depend on career level. The cheapest one for graduates is $497, and premier executive resume is $3147. I went for a Silver package which included a resume, two cover letters, thank you letters, and LinkedIn completion and tour. All this cost me $597, which was not very expensive considering the number of items included.

The process

The process of collaboration with the writer starts with payment. I proceeded using my Visa card and when the payment went through successfully, I sent an email stating a suitable time to get in touch with me. The next day writer called me, and we discussed my desired jobs and experience. She also asked me to email her my current resume and cover letter if I had one. There’s also a possibility to talk to writer via Skype.

We didn’t have Skype consultations, however. My resume was pretty detailed and I answered the questions which my resume didn’t cover via phone. The site doesn’t have a support as, for instance, Here or other resume sites. I think the reason is this is a site of one resume writer, not a resume company. This may be not very convenient for overseas clients, though.

Conclusion

The site has lots of success stories, but it doesn’t have information about how long the entire process takes. I had to wait for over a week to have my package complete. What can I say – a resume was indeed good. I was not very happy with the design, but in other aspects I was satisfied. I also got 5 Thank you letters, which were very similar. As for LinkedIn, I haven’t found anything special in the way my profile was filled in. To sum up, I was quite satisfied with the level of writing. Though, it’s obvious the service has a number of disadvantages. They don’t provide ongoing support; services are available in packages only and moreover a manager’s CV may cost you a bomb here. So, it’s up to you to decide.
